Optima Reality

Software - C# / Unity

First professional experience in which I had a real place and an impact on the development of the company. Optima Reality is a company based in St Ouen oriented towards new technologies and mainly on immersion thanks to virtual reality. In order to increase user immersion, the company used a chair on servo motor allowing more pronounced immersion and the possibility of using movement in videos. During this work-study program, I worked as a developer on the various current and future projects. For me, it was my first experience working on codes writed by other developers and it allowed me to learn a lot about software development and communication between programs.

Optiplayer
This is a software developed on Unity use to combine 360 ​​° videos with spatialized sound and movement allowing a better immersion. On some experience, I worked on adding new dimensions to these sensory experience by adding new levels of immersion thanks to wind, water but also odor and heat.
Experience completed : 
CosmoRider :
 
CosmoRider is a visual experience where the spectator follows Thomas Pesquet (French astronaut being on the international station) during his departure in Soyuz to the international station. This experience was created in partnership with the company "25ème heure" which took care of the visual and sound part. My job was to adapting the video to our image format and adding movement and wind.

 

 

Macif Trimaran :

This visual experience is the most successful that Optima Reality has produced since it used all the technologies developed by us (Movement, spatialized sound, wind, water). This experience was set up during the "Route du Rhum" in the reserved space for Macif company.

 

Patrouille de France :

 

For the national holiday of July 14, the "Patrouille de France" asked us to make a promotional video adapted to our software. For this video, we set up an inertial unit in the filmed plane to be able to recover the exact movements of the plane during the shots.

All these videos are the most successful on the Optiplayer. Other videos were created for various events such as the "4L Trophy" or the promotion of King Kong.

Video game adaptation : 

In order to reach a larger audience and respond to a call for tenders. First of all, we have created software that adapt video game to our movement device for arcade. And we have adpated simulation game for aeronautical school and company. The software collects the information transmitted by the game, then analyzed it and translates it. The result is transmitted to the software of the chair.

Project Cars :

Project Cars was the first game adapted to be put in an arcade room. We had to adapt the chair so that it can be used in an "active" version (the user has an impact on the experience he lives). For this, we added a steering wheel and pedals attached to the chair thanks to a removable central bar allowing the user to get in and out more easily.

Xplane 11 : 

Xplane 11 is an ultra advanced aviation simulation allowing to set up flight routes with different types of aircraft. To adapt this software to the expectations of our customers (aviation school and aeronautical company) we had to add orders for certain aircraft such as the Cessna or the Rafale to allow the same chair to be used for different aircraft.
